I’m trying Soundslice today for a simple transcription. It seems clunky too. From the getgo is has the same basic issues as Guitar Pro with playback. No way that I can see to repeatedly begin playback from the same point. And no way to move to precise points.

Looks like you can select an area and loop it, then it should always play from the same point via the spacebar

Could definitely use some Reapering, like setting a cursor position, markers , pause , jump to time etc

You can play from the start or navigate by bars via keyboard shortcuts

Yea, being able to set a loop definitely helps. I knew that, but I guess I got stuck in the way of how I do it with Reaper. I’ll set a few markers throughout a phrase and jump between them as necessary. And play always jumps back to the last marker that I was on.
