A 19th century snowball fight

I love these videos. They use machine learning to upscale and clean up the footage, as well as turning that old film, low and jerky fps into a nice, smooth 60 fps. It makes it all seem very real:

So Snooks, how come you signed up under another name?

Cause everyone is still calling you Snooks anyway

Yeah, I’ve asked Garrick to change it back. I might regret the paper trail when I’m hauled in front of the thought police in 2050 though.

Excellent.

Well, at least you’ll be in good company. :skull_and_crossbones:

Google and Facebook probably have so much telemetry on us it fills the volume in excess of the Britannica.

Yeah, they are mesmerizing. I kind of want them to do it to Harold Lloyd films, but it might risk ruining the vibe.

Clever … well done. The only thing that is a little off are the sound effects of the snow balls … sound more like a bunch of firecrackers going off.

Paris, 1890s.

Watching them trying to cross that road at 1:47 is funny, they’d never get across a modern road!
