I wish there was more comedy like this. Things don’t seem anywhere near threatening when you can laugh at them.
People should go back to the 60’s and try to dig up a monologue Lenny Bruce did about the use of the word nigger.
The point of his monologue was that it was the suppression of words that gives those words power. By bringing those words out in the open, they lose their power.
He ends the monologue by stating that if we did that, no little black girl would ever go home from school crying because someone called her a nigger.
